On December 14, 15 and 17, 2007, Kagawad Sol Erwin Diaz, Chairman of the Committee on Education of Brgy. Council of Pala-o, Iligan City made a gift-giving activity on the Christmas parties of four (4) day care centers of the said barangay, namely: Anahaw Day Care Center (Purok16), Purok 15 Day Care Center, Purok 13 Day Care Center, and the Literacy Hall Day Care Center (Purok 18). There were 210 day care pupils who received gifts from Brgy. Kagawad Diaz. They were all happy opening their gifts as they can use the same in their pre-school activities. They have received notebooks, pencils and rulers.
Others also made a day care pre-pageant program as a fund raising activity to buy necessary things for the center for which Kagawad Diaz have given the trophies for the winners.
Kag. Sol Diaz was with Brgy. Kagawads of same barangay who also gave their gifts to the day care pupils.
All were very happy and gay celebrating the christmas season despite the recent calamity befaced the said barangay.
