About Me

Sol Erwin Diaz was born in Davao City, married to a lawyer Jasmin Guiuo-Diaz of Palao, Iligan City and has only one daughter Jayden Elysze G. Diaz, who is now 1 year old.
He graduated his primary school in Kibawe, Bukidnon, where his mother originated. In 1985 his family decided to transfer to kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, the place where his father grew up. He finished his elementary and secondary school in that place. In 1991, after he graduated high school, he decided to join the Order of Friar Minors. He only spent 1 year in the seminary, where he believed that he gain a lot of growth to his spiritual aspect in life. In 1992, he pursued his studies in Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology. He finished his collegiate studies as Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics. After graduation, He served as an educator to several schools in Iligan. He was once a teacher in English to high school students in Lanao Chung Hua School at the same time a CAT commandant and disciplinarian. He applied his knowledge in Army training since he is also a graduate in Advanced ROTC. While he has done his teaching job he also undertakes to study Bachelor of Laws in MSU- College of Law, Iligan Extension, where he finished it in 2002. He also served as a College instructor in St. Peter’s College handling law, logic, and English subjects in the years 1997 to 2000.
In 2002, he still crave to study, he pursued again another academic struggle to Master of Arts in Education Major in English Language Teaching at St. Michael’s College. During this year, he continued to serve as an educator at Iligan Capitol College and Lyceum of Iligan Foundation up to the present. He finished his masters in 2006 and presently enrolled his doctorate at Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro City. He is presently a legislator in the barangay council of Palao, to widen his intention to serve the needy.
Mr. Diaz believes that only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile. He made his life worthwhile by serving barangay Palao. He has the strong intentions to serve and make his life worthliving.
